edamama is a e-commerce platform that has been committed to helping parents make better decisions. With the team being mostly made up of parents, I stepped in as one of their first Gen Z employees whose updated background in design and arts grow their sales and other ventures. I had the pleasure of already being placed as an Associate Graphic Designer upon entering the company instead of a Junior Designer, meaning I was trusted to partake and collaborate closely with the CEO and Head of Marketing immediately. Being a tech start up, I also wore many hats, I became a multimedia designer and participated in discussions with other departments (such as the UX team and warehouse management team).

After many years of operating as a online platform that specializes in gear for young Filipino families and creating projects to support Filipino mothers, edamama decided to expand into creating physical stores in malls to coincide with the ease of social distancing rules. This idea was first explored in edamama's Family Expo in August of 2022, a successful onsite and online event to that held activities and massive brand sales for families and parenting influencers. Seeing how thousands of users participate in the convention, edamama formally launches their foray into physical stores with their landmark Glorietta pop-up stand. Following these successes, the SM Southmall was quickly approved and heavily advertised.
I've had the pleasure of participating in every step to expanding edamama's platform to distribute goods. My responsibilities in launching these stores lie in creating traditional print media as well as social media advertisements. Aside from this, I created all the signs and label signages seen on items and shelves.
Project Santa is a project where in edamama and all division under it undergo a major rebranding that dictates all socials and advertisements for the last few months of the year. As a graphic designer under the company, I not only revamped the logo for the advertisements and websites, but I created the key visuals for advertisements that the rest of the marketing team followed. Within the first few months of the company, I established myself as a key figure in the design team and set the tone for all of the visuals for Q4.
After creating the chosen logo for the company, I used it as inspiration to set the tone for how the visuals and advertisements of the company should look like. The main visuals of the ads should focus on Filipino families celebrating the holidays. Other elements of ads should include red, green, and gold color schemes, holiday motifs (ornaments, wreath, garlands, Christmas trees, etc.).
Starting 2023, edamama has officially launched edamama+, a digital agency arm to help interested brands reach, engage and build lasting relationships with mothers and families in the Philippines. I was tasked by the heads of the company to create and propose logos and branding elements for this new branch of the company. As such, I explored designs that departed from the regular colors to choose a lighter green to symbolize new growth. Moreover, I used different typefaces compared to what edamama usually uses in their branding. Instead, I pivoted to less rounded text and a more modern brandmark.
The following are UX/UI design case studies and visual designs I have developed over the years. Check them out below to see related projects.
